I'm evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they're letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.

It covers:

  • The best blogging techniques.
  • How to get traffic to your blog.
  • How to turn your blog into money.

I'll let you know what I think once I've had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it's still free.

Wild Horses

WildhorsessmlThese are wild horses from the Nordegg area. This is just outside of Banff National Park in Alberta. Dean Watkiss a ranger and wild life photographer, guided me around the back country for a day. We found the herd of black wild horses around noon. Normally pretty skittish I was able to snuggle up within a few yards of them where I gleefully snapped away! When we first arrived they circled the colts but as they relaxed they spread out.

This image was taken with the canon camera but we used Lucisarts photoshop filters to create the painterly effect. There was some other digital work to increase the focus on the two horses. They had the most amazing long almost braided looking manes.
